James Connie Barron

Connie was born in Spartanburg, S.C. on May 7, 1948. He was raised by his grandmother Estelle Newman. Connie was known as James to most people in his personal and professional life. However to his family, he was known as Connie, Uncle Jimmy and PawPaw.

Connie was a veteran of the US Army. He took basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. He was honorably medically discharged in 1966.

Connie was originally a professional house painter, however his later years became a top sales associate in the manufactured housing industry.

Connie is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Adair Barron and granddaughter Felicia Lynne Barron.

He is survived by his sons Evangelist Tommy and Angie Barron of Richfield, NC and Jason and Stacy Barron of Kannapolis, NC.

Grandchildren are Tyler and Ashley Barron of Midland NC, Savannah Barron of Kannapolis, NC, Justin Barron and Nikky Kusmier of Lyndhurst, Ohio. Great grandchildren are Wyatt, Emma, Ray, Ashton and Weston.

A military graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm. at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, NC officiated by Evangelist Tommy Barron.
