James Alfred Miller

Mr. James Alfred Miller 58 of Kannapolis, went to be with the Lord at home on Thursday May 9, 2013. Hospice kept him comfortable until he passed from heart failure. Born on January 23, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of Ernest and Doris Louise Vickers Miller. He was a graduate of Pilgram High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Kannapolis. He was a commercial plummer working with new construction. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Aida Cecilia "Cece" Hewins Miller, son Denver from Texas, father in law Mr. Dan, sisters; Joan Velander of Rhode Island, and Beverly Randall of Florida. He was also survived by nieces and nephews; Kim, Greg, Lilly and Keelen as well as many inlaws and cousins in New England and California. Jim was a wonderfully gifted husband and helpmate. He was an awesome plummer and handyman for over 35 years. He had a big heart, most of all a great friend, and he will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Monday June 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church with Dr. Thomas Cabaniss, officiating. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 101 N. Main St. Kannapolis, NC 28081.
