Jeanne Denise Kirk

Born in Cabarrus County on June 28, 1953, she was the daughter of the late James Grady Wellmon and Hazel Juanita Ruff Wellmon.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Wellmon and Danny Wellmon; her first husband, Michael Devoid Tarlton who died in 2011; infant son Ryan Michael and infant daughter, Wendy Jo Tarlton.

Over the years, Jeanne worked in the Accounting Department at Food Lion; worked as a Sales Associate at Walmart and was an Office Scheduler at Northeast Orthopedics (OrthoCarolina).

She loved crocheting and listening to the Beatles music and was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronald R. Kirk; son, James Tyler Tarlton; two brothers, Doug Wellmon and Christopher Wellmon and two canine companions, Kuma and Baby.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ with Pastor Jim Simmonds officiating.
