Leary Jo Cowden, the infant daugther of Christina Swink and Nick Cowden, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday February 1, 2014 at her home. She was born on November 11, 2013 in Cabarrus County. She was the maternal granddaughter of Warren and Katrina Sorenson and paternal granddaughter of Ed and Alicia Wise. She was named for her father Nick's grandmother Sally Jo Oldham. Also surviving her is her brother Carter Little.
Leary was a true angel on earth. She was a bright eyed girl, who always had a smile for everyone. She was just
learning to laugh and was "talking" more and more everyday. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and we all look forward to seeing her again one day.
Memorial service will be on Saturday February 8, 2014 at 2:00 at Clermont Freewill Baptist Church on Rainbow Drive in Kannapolis, with Rev. Leon Simmons, minister. Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is serving the Cowden family.
