Leroy Martin Morris

Born on November 14, 1918 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Joseph Stickley and Alice Roxina Hunbarger Morris. Educated in the Rowan County Schools, he was a lifelong member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ. He retired from Cannon Mills as a weaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Daisy Belle Upright Morris on July 28, 1992, and his brothers Walt, Jake, Albert and Luther and Lewis Morris and sisters Mary Upright and Viola Upright.. Those left to cherish her memory are his children; Roy Jerry Morris of China Grove, Jimmy Ray Morris (Becky) of Concord and Ronnie Lane Morris (Susan) of China Grove. Also surviving him are his 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren along with 3 step grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 til 8:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral on Friday at 11:00 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ with Rev. Mark Burns, minister.
