Pauline Brady

Mrs. Edna Pauline Garver Brady, 100 of Salisbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at CMC Northeast. Born on October 27, 1914 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Myrtle Goodman Garver. Mrs. Brady was the Valedictorian of her graduating class at Landis High School. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Professionally, she was a seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert Lee Brady in 2006, brothers and sisters, Mabel Walker (R.V.), Velma Vanpelt (John), Nita Overcash, (Paul), Fred Garver (Margaret), Rachel Efird (Joe), Hazel Johnson (Marvin), Ernest Garver, (Polly), Hoyle Garver, Wilma Adcock (C.L.) and Oscar Garver. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Allen Brady (Dianne) of Selma, NC, James Lee "Jim" Brady (Janice) of China Grove and Verne Eugene Brady (Cindy) of Charlotte. Her grandchildren are Scott Brady, Lisa Phillips, Lynn Sellers, Eric Brady, Eddie Brady and Drew Byrd, great grandchildren are Chris Sellers, Marissa Sellers, Allison Thomas, Cameron Brady, Breanna Brady, Camden Brady, Evan Byrd, Nick Phillips, Brooke Phillips and Hailey Phillips, and great great grandchildren are Aubree Diane Sellers and Addilyn Grace Thomas, sisters, Ollie Morrow (Floyd) of China Grove and Reba Nell Carriker (Raymond)of Salisbury. She is also survived by her sisters in law, Jenny Garver and Hazel Garver. She was a resident of Carillon Assisted Living in Salisbury. The family wishes to thank the following for the loving care extended to her: Wendy Livengood and her staff at Carillon, Drs. North, Thomas, Wagner and Kelly and the staff at Northeast Medical Center in Concord.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 til 3:00 at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in China Grove with funeral at 3:00 also at the church with Revs Joseph Talent and Kay Overcash, ministers.
