Richard Dwight Biggers

Born in Stanly County, NC on March 6, 1949, he was the son of the late Harvey Lee Biggers and Lillie Kathleen Talbert Biggers.

In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Biggers.

Richard was drafted into the United States Army in 1969 and served our country for two years. He worked as a mechanic for Republic Services and enjoyed working on old cars and spending time outdoors.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Beverly Jean Huneycutt Biggers; daughters, Brenda Needham (Robert Branch) and Michelle Wild (Scott); son, Scotty Eugene Biggers (Amy Taylor); five grandchildren, Brandon Needham (Chelsie), Brittany Needham, Austin James Wild “AJ”, Kaylee Biggers and Braxton Biggers and one great-grandson, Xander Needham.

Richard is also survived by two brothers, Lee Biggers (Barabara) and Phillip Biggers (Cindy).

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home, with burial to follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
