Sandra Lynn Boardman

Mrs. Sandra Lynn King Boardman, 67, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Born on October 9, 1944 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Tom Dewey King and Edna Mae Cook King. Educated in the Rowan County Schools, she was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. She worked for C.E. Tyler Mfg. Her hobbies included reading and traveling, and she was a big Elvis fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Renae' Boardman Shehan. Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, Brian Boardman-Rackley (Michael) of Atlanta, Tim Boardman (Darla) of Cleveland and Chris Boardman (Kelly) of Salisbury. Mrs. Boardman had a life partner, Mark Adkins of Salisbury and a sister Carol King Dunn (Norwood) of Asheville. Sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive her.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with the funeral on Friday at 11:00 also at the funeral home with Rev. David Franks, minister. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
