

He was born to Frances and Joe Parriera of Tipton, California on December 6th, 1928. Tony was the youngest of their 12 children and grew up with a love of hard work on the family dairy farm.
He married the love of his life, Lucille, and they shared 57 years of marriage. Tony is survived by his wife, Lucille, and their four children, Lucie Batista of Palm Springs, Tony Parriera Jr. of Las Vegas, Larry Parriera of Chino, and Rick Parriera of Lake Havasu. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, as well as four siblings, his sister Eva Soares of Chino, his sister Lena Degroot of Moreno Valley, his brother Willie (Bill) Parriera of Corona, and his sister Vena Cunha of Fresno.
Tony was an active member of the Portuguese Fraternal Societies of America, and enjoyed attending all the Portuguese celebrations throughout California. Tony loved dancing and watching baseball and softball, and always had a joke to share. He loved having a house full of friends, family, (and his animals) to sing, dance and play games.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Catholic Charities.
A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2713 South Grove Avenue, Ontario, California, 91761 in the main hall (Monseigneur Avila Hall), on Saturday, June 1st, 2013.
