

Arlene M. Carstens 93, of Chino passed away June 16, 2012. She was born January 21, 1919 in Penock, Minnesota to John and Sophia Larson. Arlene was a resident of Grand Junction for 27 years and stayed a short time in Chino with her daughter. She attended 1 year of Business College and was a Bank Teller for 25 years. Arlene dedicated her time to several community activities involving groups like R.S.V.P., Gray Gourmet, Senior Companion, and also was a Volunteer at the Western Co. Botanical Gardens where she discovered her love for butterflies. She also enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, and loved to read. Arlene enjoyed trips with friends to the casinos to play the slot machines. Arlene leaves behind to cherish her memory Son; Leslie (Dana) Carstens of Bristish Columbia, Canada, Daughter; JoAnne (Paul) Boudreau of Chino Hills and Sister; Julia (Warner) Walrath of Spencer, Iowa. 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren who fondly called her “G.G.”. The Memorial Gardens of Grand Junction, Colorado will be Arlene’s final resting place next to her husband Les.
