Consuelo Sanchez

Consuelo Sanchez, 87, of Montclair, California, passed away on March 25, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born to Manuel Regalado and Rosa Gonzales on May 16, 1929 in Sonora, Ciudad Obregon, Mexico. Consuelo was a resident of Montclair for 26 years.

Consuelo is survived by her son Carlos Sanchez of Moreno Valley, Lucy Valencia of Chino, George Sanchez and wife Frankie Lyn of Norwalk, Leonel Sanchez of Montclair, Leticia Sanchez and her husband Jose Avalos of Fontana, Javier Sanchez and his wife Edda Osaba Sanchez of Riverside. Consuelo leaves behind 18 grandkids and 4 great-grand daughters. She is also survived by her brother Ramon Regalado and his wife Josefina of Whitter and Isela Rosa Regalado of Sonora Mexico.

Consuelo was a creative woman that had many talents. As a young lady, she made silk flowers that she sold to neighbors. She had a natural talent to draw, which helped when she began to design and sew dresses for her sisters and friends. She also made clothes for many children aside from her own. Consuelo was a talented seamstress whose love for sewing showed in the wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, quinceñera dresses she created. She especially loved to create Halloween costumes ever year.

She loved to knit; who could forget the Christmas everyone received hats and scarves made by her loving hands. She loved to make scarves to keep her family and friends warm.

Gardening was a quiet pastime for Consuelo; a time to admire and tend to beautiful flowers.

Most of all Consuelo loved her precious family and created many memories with them throughout their lives.

Services will be as follows: visitation hours will be 5 pm to 9 pm, Monday, April 3, 2017 at Funeraria del Angel Chino with rosary at 7 pm. A mass will be celebrated 9 a.m, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montclair. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello.
