

On January 24th, 2012, at 81 years of age, Jaime Treffry was called home to end his journey on earth but continues to live in our hearts and our memories. Although Jaime, aka husband, dad, abuelito, great abuelo, and friend, has passed on from our world, he waits on the other side where the grass is greener and life is forever abundant.
Jaime was born in Bogotá, Colombia, on January 20th,1931 and later met the woman of his dreams, Ruby Alban in Cali, Colombia when he was 15 and the señorita Ruby was 12. After approx 4 years of courtship, on December 2nd, 1950 Ruby Alban became Mrs. Ruby Treffry.
As Jaime and Ruby began there life together, they were blessed with four daughters; Ruby Nancy, Jenny, Dolly and baby Leddy. While living in Colombia, Jaime was employed as an independent craftsman watch maker and entrepreneur business jeweler, but left Colombia after receiving an exceptional job offer working for a premier watch company, ROLEX.
Starting with only a job offer and limited resources, Jaime and his first born daughter, left to Glendale, California to begin a new life. Once he was established and began to gain momentum working for ROLEX, he moved his wife and three remaining daughters to Glendale to be reunited. In the late 80's he was offered a job at GUCCI Time Pieces and retired with GUCCI in the late 90's.
Jaime is survived by his wife Ruby, four daughters Nancy, Jenny, Dolly, Leddy, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren,1 sister Nancy in Colombia. He preceeded in death by parents Aminia and Ernesto Treffry. Jaime left behind a great legacy of a spirit that will be carried on by his exemplar qualities and persistence for family generations to follow. He will never be missed because he will always be loved and forever lives in our hearts and minds as a loving, caring, elegant and humble man.
