Ramiro Sales Augusto, 70, of Fontana, passed away December 7, 2010 at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. He was born February 24, 1940 in Azores, Portugal and has been a resident of Fontana for 10 years. Ronnie, as he was known, was a Chino Valley resident for 45 years. He was a milker in the dairy industry for 40 years and worked for T.B.U. underground prior to his retirement in 2006. Ronnie will be remembered as an avid Dodger and Elvis fan.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Marian Augusto; children Ronnie Augusto Jr., Frank Augusto, Christine Augusto, Richard Augusto, Tracy Augusto-O’Brien, Melinda Augusto, Christopher Augusto and David Augusto. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Viewing and rosary were held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Pierce Bros Griffith Mortuary in Chino. A funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Chino. Interment followed at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario.
