I'm very sad to hear about this news. He was a good man with a great sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

It's been two weeks & still can't wrap my head around your passing. You were so much a part of my life both through the good & the bad.  You will stay in my heart until my journey is over & we are all together again.

My earliest memory of Uncle Bob was from one of the sleepovers during a visit from Oregon, probably 1988-ish.  Heather, Rebecca, and I were sleeping out in the living room, chatting and giggling away.  From down the hall a bellowing voice warned, "If you don't be quiet, I'm going to hang you all outside on the clothes line!"  Images of the three of us dangling by our hair outside fluttered through my head.  Uncle Bob and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed!

Teresa, Heather, and Rebecca, our family is saddened by your loss.  Keep the memories flowing and share them with others as a celebration of his life.  I know Bob will be looking over all of you in the coming months and keep in mind that your family and extended families are here to help and support you.

After the shock of hearing about Bobs passing, I started to reminisce about our friendship, my mind flooded with all the good times we had over the years, and there were lots of them.  Bob and I go way, way back, I even knew Bob when he was clean shaven.  We met at college in 1967, and from that time to this I have nothing but good memories, I would like to mention a few like the time:
We washed up on shore in San Simeon after giving the resident seals a good laugh, 4 divers 1 abalone;
Our hunting of killer mesquite bushes and derelict cars in the Mojave;
Our antics in the turn six grandstands at Riverside Raceway and Ontario Speedway;
Our launching of CSUSB's Outdoor Club's Navy consisting of a one man dingy at Lake Mead which promptly turned into a submarine with 6 of us aboard;
When he first introduced Teresa;
When he sent pictures of his daughters (WOW, Bob's a dad);
When he sent pictures of his grandson (Double WOW);
To this day I have never met anyone else who could navigate the ups and downs of life with such good nature and on such an even keel.  To Bob, these weren't problems; they were challenges   and no big deal, just something to get through. Throughout our friendship I cannot recall a harsh word passing between us.
It is said that you are born into your family, but you can and do chose your friends. Boy did I do a great job when I chose Bob to be a friend! 
Bob will be missed, but he will live on in our memories, never to be forgotten!

As the mailman for Bob and Teresa for several years, I always was able to share a laugh or two when Bob would 'wheel' himself out to the mailbox. What started off as casual conversation would always turn into talks of family, military, gardening, cooking and even our faith.  I will miss him greatly every time I turn onto Raintree Ct. Be encouraged Teresa, Heather and Rebecca. A husband and father is a precious thing to have and you were greatly blessed with yours. God bless and keep you always!

I am truly saddened to hear of your recent loss and would like to express my sincere condolences to you and your family on the recent passing of your father. Richard also sends his thoughts and hopes to you and your family at this most difficult of times.

Even though I did not know your father personally, through meeting you and your family, I can see that you were raised in a loving and warm family. Your personal demeanor and the values you have I know came from the family in which you were raised. I can only imagine how much of an impact your father has had on how compassionate and caring a person you are. 

It is obvious that you were very fortunate to have such a fine man as your father and role model as you grew into the person you are today.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences at this most difficult time . I wish I had the opportunity to have known your father as I can see how his personality and strength must have passed into you and in doing so he lives on in you and those who loved him.

Probably no secret to anyone but Bob had a sense of humor! This was always evident regardless of what adventure, conversation or story he was telling you. When my wife Susan and I first met him, Bob's personality was huge! Determine, opinionated but always with a twinkle in his eye. Our bluegrass group, Sneezeweed, nicknamed him "Yeti" for obvous reasons and I still remember the 12 string Ovation strumming away behind me. I also remember his Fender Thinline Telecaster, & hobbies - fishing (The Canada trip is a must tell), camping (with the bears)and many trips to Joshua Tree, photography, rock climbing,golf,nature and gardening. What will I miss? Him calling me Richie,the music,especially Savoy Brown & Neil Young,the bacon-diet coke breakfast, JD, Petite Syrah & everything else that was Bob. Bob, memories will do for now so until we meet again, give the angels & God a break once in a while.

Respected, father figure, master storyteller,and fun uncle, this is what my Uncle Bob is to me. He has been there for many important events in my life and for that I am truly blessed. My Uncle Bob will forever live in my heart.

Our wonderful, dear friends (more like family).We want you to know how much we care. We want you to know you are all in our thoughts and prayers and w will be here to help when and where you need us. While there are many wonderful and special memories of our dear friend, we will never forget those camping trips (in our younger years of course :-). Watching Bob eat his favorite restaurant meal as we headed out of town... bacon, a piece of pie, and a soda. He really knew how to live!!!  We love you all.

When Bob answered the phone he called me TK. He always knew my voice. He was a kind man, with many interests and fun to talk to. I loved looking at his abundantly producing garden. He seemed to love life and even moreso love his family. Bob will be missed. May our dear Lord bless him and the dear family he so sadly and suddenly left behind. Thank you for being such a wonderful father. I've always looked up to you for your knowledge and wisdom, and I've never questioned your tremendous value and support to my life. You're amazing dad! I'm so thankful that you took the time to teach me about good music (Classic Rock of course), about camping and all the effective uses of a Swiss Army Knife and MacGyver tape, how to "quiet walk" through the woods, how to wrestle to the Eye of the Tiger, and how to conversate. I definitely take after you when it comes to the "talking" department. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will love you forever and always and I will miss you for all the days of my life.

I don't think there was a cat or dog that wasn't immediately attracted to Bob, he had that kind of magnetism.  I remember that one time Bob was on a hunting/camping trip in the local mountains and someone had dumped a half-grown cat in an area that of course had coyotes.  The cat glommed on to Bob who, of course, brought it home.  Another time Teresa & Bob found a dog on the side of a freeway on-ramp, on the proverbial dark and stormy night.  Bob pulled over, the dog jumped in, and it was named 'Stormy'.
Bob showed a lot of patience with our musical group 'Sneezeweed' and became our Manager De Facto.  He was a good sport, offering helpful suggestions, reviewing contracts for impending engagments (HAH!!!), and finally, yes, we allowed him to play guitar in our group.
I hope I remembered all of the above accurately.
