Sylvia was born on August 11, 1951 in Artesia, CA.
She is survived by her husband Daniel, of 51 years, children Andrea (Richard) Bouwman of Visalia, CA., Yvette (Chad) teVelde of Frederick, CO., Eric (Wendy) Southfield, of Roswell, NM., Mark Southfield , Farwell, TX., and Sarah (Matt) Bond, of Redlands, CA. Grandchildren Jake, Justine, John, and James Bouwman, Jordyn, Makenzie, and Gracyn teVelde, Marcie and Daniel Southfield, Cayden VonWinckelmann, Cameron, Ryan, and Cooper Bond. Brother Martin Vander Laan, sisters Tena (Tony) Lopes, Winna Vander Laan. Sister-in-laws Nancy (Steve) Allen and Debora Fulton. Brother-in-law Vince Dominick. Many beloved nephews and nieces.
Sylvia was proceeded in death by her parents Henry and Ann Vander Laan, Father and Mother-in-law Harold and Jacqueline Southfield, daughter-in-law Shannon Southfield, sister Teresa Dominick, and brother-in-law Robert Fulton.
