

Thelma Southfield, 83, of Ontario, passed away on June 20, 2016 at Inland Christian Home in Ontario. She was born on October 1, 1932 in Artesia, CA. Thelma was a Chino resident for 35 years prior to moving to Ontario, where she resided for 5 years. She loved her family and was a homemaker. Thelma worked beside her husband in his Cattle Business for 40 years. He had auctions for Dairy cows, sometimes weekly, and Thelma served food and drinks after each sale. This was something she started in the Cerritos area and continued in the Chino area. Thelma was the former president at the Chino Senior Center, where she participated in the Legends games and won several awards. She was generous with her time and volunteered within the Chino community.She is survived by daughter Ilene (Dan) Meehleis, daughter Suzanna (Daniel) Hoar, one granddaughter, two grandsons and two great-grandsons. Visitation will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Funeraria del Angel Pierce Bros Griffith in Chino, with funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be private at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario.
