Viola Corinne St. Pierre

Viola Corinne St. Pierre, 89, of Chino Hills, passed away June 22, 2011 in Ontario. She was born to Rose Juaire and Emery St. Amand on May 28, 1922 in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Growing up, playmates were never in low supply as Viola was the 9th of 10 children. She worked as a mill worker in Rhode Island and the Springcrest Drapery Company in California. Viola was a parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Chino Hills. She was a very proud and loving mother of 6. Viola is survived by a sister, Beatrice Houde of Smithfield, RI; her six children Leon (wife Jane) St. Pierre of Weed, Ca, Pat Coppens of Chino Hills, Ca, Gary (wife Leesa) St. Pierre of Ontario, Ca, Sandra (husband Howard) Eloe of Chino, Ca, Mark (wife Linda) St. Pierre of Stockton, Ca, and Joseph (wife Debbie) St. Pierre of Upland, Ca. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Dana Melo, Nicole & Pete Morris, Jeff St. Pierre, Dawn & George Monge, Adam St. Pierre, Matt Eloe, Laura & Harold Dunnagan, Sara St. Pierre, Steven St. Pierre, Julie & Dustin Andolsen and Daniel St. Pierre; 12 great-grandchildren, Miller Sabarbaro, Madison Melo, Mason Melo, Megan Melo, Marissa Melo, Jenna St. Pierre, Hanna Monge, Aimee Monge, Brigid Goff-Eloe, Ailin Goff, Ashley Dunnagan, and Cameron Dunnagan; and 2 nieces, Connie St. Amand and Gloria Garcia. Viola is preceded in death by her former husband of 33 years, Leon Emile St. Pierre. A visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m, Monday, June 27, 2011 at Pierce Bros Griffith Mortuary in Chino, with rosary at 7 p.m. A mass will be celebrated 10 a.m, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Chino Hills.
