Dale was born on April 29, 1947 in Merced, CA to Richard and Joyce Maddalena and was a lifelong resident of Chowchilla, CA. He was a dedicated 3rd-generation farmer and was an example of what hard work, commitment, and perseverance truly looked like.
More than anything, he was devoted to his family. He was a wonderful husband and best friend to his wife, and a constant source of strength and support for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Dale also had a passion for cooking and loved bringing everyone together. He had a great sense of humor and could always make someone laugh. He was a faithful friend and someone you could always count on. He gave so much of his time to help others, never asking for anything in return. That was just who he was—kind, generous, and deeply respected by those who knew him.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Joyce Maddalena; brother Gary Maddalena; and Grandson Nick Eggert. He is survived by his devoted wife Yvonne Maddalena; daughters Janelle (Mike) Eggert, Andrea (Jose Sahagun) Maddalena; grandchildren Lauren (Carson) Ross, Brianna Gibbs, Michael Eggert, Cecilia Sahagun, Joseph Sahagun and Alexandrea Sahagun; and great-grandchildren Quinley Ross, Hadley Ross and Ainsley Ross.
The love he shared and the lessons he taught will live on in all who knew him.
A celebration of life to honor Dale’s memory will be held at a later date.
