Donna Ruth Bennett (Wheeler), 78, passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2026, after a long battle with dementia. She was born on August 18, 1947, to Donald Harold Wheeler and Alberta Irene Wheeler (Parks), both of Pennsylvania and who preceded her in death.
Donna was also preceded in death by her sister Linda O’Donnell of New York. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Richard Bennett; her children, Douglas and Melissa Stiles of San Diego, California, Kevin and Kellie Stiles of Madera, California, Erin & Davy Dietrich of Kingman, Arizona; and her stepdaughter, Christina & Steve Alarcon of Chowchilla, California. She is also survived by her sister, Terrie & Dave Lawrence of New York, her brothers, Ron & Luitgard Wheeler of Germany, David and Barbara Wheeler, and Tom Wheeler of New York. Donna was a cherished grandmother to Brian, Taylor, Jonathan, Ryan, Evan, and Gavin all of whom brought her great joy.
Donna devoted much of her working life to serving others. For many years, she provided compassionate care to the elderly in nursing homes, bringing comfort and dignity to those in their later years. She also served as a records manager at Valley State Prison, where her professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic were greatly respected.
Donna will be remembered for her love of singing, compassionate heart, her dedication to serving others, and her overflowing love for her family. Her life touched many, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
