Gabriel Estrada Blanco Sr.

Gabriel Blanco Sr. (Chapo), 96 of Castroville, passed away on January 19, 2025. Gabriel (Chapo) was born on March 25, 1928 in Saticoy, California. His family settled in Castroville, California in 1929. Chapo married the love of his life Rafaela Blanco in 1947 together they had six children. Together they happily raised their children in Castroville, California. He was a proud father and had the greatest sense of humor. He loved music, playing his guitar, gardening, and bartending at his bar. Anyone who knew him knew he was an amazing story teller.

Gabriel (Chapo) is survived by his children and spouses’ sons, Gabriel (Gilda) Blanco Jr. of Chowchilla, Daniel (Cruz) Blanco of Castroville, Daughters, RoseMarie (Isreal Lopez) Blanco of Castroville, Joyce (Joey) Islas of Castroville, 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Gabriel Blanco Sr. (Chapo), is preceded in death by his loving bride Rafaela Blanco, sons Paul Blanco Sr., and Michael Blanco of Castroville, grandchildren Michael (Mikey) Blanco Jr., and Danny (Daniel) Blanco Jr.

The Burial Blessing will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the Castroville District Cemetery 8442 Moss Landing Rd. Moss Landing, California 95039.
