Lucy M Dornan

Lucy M. Samarin Dornan was born on December 20, 1954 to Jim and Nora (Michicoff) Samarin in Los Angeles, California. She passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the age of 61. She was the youngest of 3 children. The family moved to Madera County when she was a young child. She attended Dairyland School and Madera High School graduating in 1973.

Lucy had many hobbies and interest during her lifetime including her job in research and development at Constellation Wines, boating, gardening, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Lucy is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Mitchell C. Dornan, her son Jason Dornan, her parents, and her niece Leiana Samarin.

Lucy is survived by her two sons, Aaron Dornan and wife Julia of Camarillo, Chance Dornan and wife Alexandra of Madera and three beloved grandchildren, Jordan, Katelyn, and Jace Dornan all of Camarillo. She is also survived by her brother, Morris Samarin of Madera and sister, Marianne Destatoff of Oregon, along numerous nieces and nephews and her dog Murphy.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel in Chowchilla, California. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel with gravesite service to follow at Chowchilla Cemetery.
