Ronnie was born on January 23, 1958, in Chowchilla, where he lived all of his life. He faced many challenges through the years but carried on with quiet strength and a deep love for the things that brought him peace, his family, his friends, his dogs, and the outdoors.
Throughout his life, Ronnie worked in mechanics, construction, security, and bartending, always finding a way to get by and help others when he could.
One of the greatest joys of his life was the companionship of his dogs; Jake, Roy, Zeus, and Apollo. Jake was his loyal bar buddy, Roy adored Ronnie’s grandson Ethan, and Zeus was his best friend, his favorite dog, and a constant source of comfort. His beloved dog Apollo remains to carry on his memory.
Ronnie loved CB radios and spent many hours connecting with others over the airwaves. In his younger years, he found happiness camping, fishing, and hunting, enjoying the freedom of being outdoors.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Joe Kennedy II, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Kennedy; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Corbin, and Ethan Kennedy, who he loved dearly.
Ronnie is also survived by his siblings Donna Ross, Robert Kennedy, and Marsha Coast, and is preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Marie Kennedy, and siblings Ricky Kennedy Sr., Marlene Allen, and Linda Allen.
Though life was not always easy for Ronnie, those who knew him will remember his love for his dogs, his family, and the simple moments that meant the most. His spirit will live on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and in the hearts of those who loved him.
Funeral Service for Ron will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Chowchilla District Cemtery at 2:00 pm.
