Madeleine E. Hosterman

Madeleine E. Hosterman passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024. She left this world surrounded by loved ones. Madeleine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caring friend. Her family and friends describe her as patient, loving, selfless, and funny. Her sons say she was always there for them, providing unwavering support and love.

Madeleine was born in Newark, Ohio, on February 22, 1951, to Robert and Vivian Wells. She completed her bachelor degree at The Ohio State University. While at The Ohio State University, Madeleine met John W. Hosterman, and they married on July 4, 1977. They moved to Circleville, Ohio, and started an amazing family with four sons who will always cherish the memories of their loving mother.

Madeleine loved bridge with her friends, classic novels, comedy and mystery television series, traveling, and family vacations to the beach. She shared her passion for reading with her children and grandchildren. Madeleine cherished every moment spent with family. She was there to celebrate every personal, academic, and professional accomplishment. She actively participated in charitable organizations and her church. Madeleine also enjoyed playing interactive games, often embracing her competitive spirit and always bringing joy and enthusiasm. Her patience, kindness, and grace touched the lives of everyone around her.

Madeleine was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vivian Wells, and her sister, Charlotte Wood. She is survived by her husband, John W. Hosterman; sons, Brian, Stephen and his wife Danielle Dani, Jeffrey, and Mark; and grandchildren, Andrew, Eli, and Charlie.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held for family and friends on September 28, 2024, 12:00p.m., at the Circleville Presbyterian Church, 134 E. Mound Street, Circleville.
