Shirley F. Stant

Shirley F. Stant, 100, of Circleville, passed Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Logan Elm Healthcare. He was born April 4, 1924 in Pickaway County, the son of James and Lydia (Brown) Stant. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of nearly 71 years, Helen (Miller) Stant; son, Larry; brothers, Merle, Pearl, and Earl; and sister, Burla Barr. Shirley retired an inspector with Container Corporation. He was an avid card player and enjoyed attending horse races with his wife and sons. Shirley was very proud of his family and greatly loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Ginger) Stant and John (Vickie) Stant; daughter in law, Joanne Stant; grandchildren, Erin (Jason) Kirby, Tyler Stant, Christopher (Tara) Stant, Joanne Rooney, and Kevin Jones; great-grandchildren, Grant and Paige Kirby, Zane, Cade, Rider, and Drew Stant, Ryan Rooney, and Nicole (Colby) Scurlock along with their children, Justin and Emma; and many other relatives and special friends. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. March 8, 2025 at Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 116 Morris Rd B, Circleville, OH 43113.
