Tony Gearheart

Tony Gearheart, age 67, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Patsy (Reese) Gearheart, niece, Michelle Fitzpatrick, nephew, Frank Sciacca and several beloved canine companions. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Gearheart, son, Chris Johnston, daughter, Jenette (Kevin) Turner, sister, Patricia Coon, aunt, Linda Gearheart, niece Patricia Coon-Lawrence, nephew, James Sciacca, several great nieces and nephews, Tony’s furry companions, Eddie and Ruger, grandpups, Stella, Lucy and grand turtle, Matilda. He enlisted in the Army and served as a Ranger during the Vietnam War. He had several careers including the owner of Steve’s Drive Thru, the Maintenance Manager of St. George on the Commons and the main ice cream maker at Knight’s Ice Cream on Indianola Ave. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, reading and in the later years listening to books on tape, traveling to old diners for a good meal, and his movie marathons with his family.
