Bernard Marvin Talbert

Bernard was born May 26, 1927 at Johnsonville, Illinois to Herb and Ida Mae (Burroughs) Jones. He married Colleen Laquita Caudle July 2, 1947 in Wayne County, Illinois and she preceded him in death November 19, 1988.

Bernard was a farmer, Road Commissioner for Indian Prairie Township for twenty-nine years, and formerly worked at Valley Steel and Roadmaster. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

Bernard is survived by one daughter Paula (Leroy) Thompson of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; three sons Allen Talbert of Barnhill, Illinois; Faron (Joan) Talbert and Mark (Melissa) Talbert both of Cisne, Illinois. Twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren also survive.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Colleen, and daughter Pauletta Kay Talbert and several siblings.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00PM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harrell Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Saturday.

Memorials may be given to the Cisne Rehab & Health Care Activity Fund and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
