

EASTER “MARLENE” COSNER, 57, of Flora, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 5, 1958, to Clinard and Ruby (Worley) Curtis. She married Allen Cosner and they were together for 25 years
.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Allen Cosner of Flora; children, Jed Williams (Chris Showalters) of Flora, Emily Ervin (Brian) of Greenup, Cassy Stine (Josh) of Flora, Jamie Willis (William) of Louisville, Shayne Cosner (Heather) of Flora, and Dakota Cosner (Bethani) of Flora; grandchildren Krystal, Rhyver, Cayne, Savanna, Blaze, William, Bryar, Maverick, Cindy, Dayna, John, Autumn, Xander, Xavier, Xannon, Ethan, Garrett, Draven, Serinity, Libertie, Talon Dale, Tanner, Taxon, and Miayah; siblings, Joyce Williams (Brad) of Rinard, Elaine Bullard of Xenia, Donna Holtzinger (Doug) of Flora, Jerry Curtis (Debra) of Clearwater, ID, Randy Curtis (Barbara) of Arkansas, Donald Curtis (Lorenza) of Oklahoma, and Luke Curtis of Flora; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Carolyn Curtis, Marolyn Curtis, Kenneth Curtis, and Barbara Pruitt.
Marlene attended Flora High School. She went to work for Spartan for many years. She then went on to become a caregiver at Cresthaven Boarding Home and Country Lane Boarding Home. Marlene attended Xenia Community Church. She had a passion for taking care of others. She was an excellent cook. She liked to work in her yard and always made sure it was perfectly landscaped to her liking. Marlene always made sure that the neighborhood squirrels, birds, and hummingbirds were fed.
Marlene loved country music. She had a vast collection of cassettes, records, and CD’s and kept them completely organized and catalogued. Every day, she would go spend time with her brothers and sisters at their “West End Coffee Shop.” Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 20 at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne. A funeral ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 21, at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Horsley officiating. Marlene will be laid to rest in Johnsonville Cemetery.
