Lawrence Carpenter

Lawrence was born October 2, 1926 at Geff, IL to Charles C. and Cora A. (Sanford) Carpenter. He never married.

Lawrence was a minister in Illinois and Florida; a missionary in the Caribbean Area; and a Junior High Teacher in Cook County. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was a very active member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

Lawrence is survived by five nephews and two nieces.

Preceding him in death were 2 brothers – Lowell and Sanford; 2 sisters Frances and Maude and his parents.

Funeral Services for Lawrence Carpenter will be 11AM Friday, March 9, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Christian Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7PM Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Hosselton Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to Oil Belt Christian Service Camp and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
