Ami Gayle Moon

A memorial service to celebrate Ami’s life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Evans officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the memorial service.

Ami was born in Wake County on October 17, 1973 to Tommy Goodwin, Sr and Donna Rose Brown. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, R. W. and Maude Brown, and also her paternal grandparents, Ernest Goodwin and Geraldine Martin.

Ami graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Accounting and was self-employed as an Accountant. She enjoyed cruises, camping with her family and spending time on the beach with her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, William “Bill” Moon; children, C. J. and Haley, stepdaughter, Alex; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Amie Goodwin; nieces, Jessica Goodwin and Olivia Bondurant, nephew, Roy Goodwin.
