Anne Marguerite Parker (née Holmes), born on November 10, 1938, in Fairmont, WV, peacefully passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 85 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Anne received her Master's in Sacred Music from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She was an Air Force veteran, serving her country with honor. Her passion for music led her to serve as the organist/choir director at multiple churches as she and her family with her first husband moved around the country for various Air Force postings. Outside of her professional life, Anne found joy in being a Master Gardener, painter, and a skilled seamstress. Her green thumb and talents brought beauty and creativity into the world around her.
Anne is survived by her loving children, Cindy Taylor (Donnie) and Larry Ramey (Kristen), as well as her grandchildren, Shannon Ramey, Jeff and Brittany Taylor, and great grandson, Landon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Parker. Anne Holmes Parker will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of service, music, and creativity will live on in the hearts of those she touched. A committal service for Anne will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
