Bennie Arthur Jeffris

Mr. Bennie Arthur Jeffris, 56, of Clayton died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his home. He was born January 28, 1959 in Johnston County. He was preceded in death by his father, William Earl Hayes and his adopted father, Walter Arthur “Skip” Jeffris, and he was also preceded by the love of his life.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24 at 12:00 Noon in the McLaurin Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert Smith and Rev. Kevin Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park.

He is survived by his two daughters, Ramona Degumba and husband John of Franklinton and Michelle Johnson of Raleigh, his mother, Lillie Gertrude Howard and step-father, Frank of Jacksonville, FL, one brother, Ronnie Jeffris and wife Marsha of Mt. Olive, three sisters, Lib Smith and husband Joe of Goldsboro, Faye Westbrook and husband Douglas of Mt. Olive, and Evelyn Miller and husband Raymond of Macclenny, FL, five grandchildren, Zachary Ward, Matthew George, Alex George, Hannah George, and Christopher Aiden “Bubba” George, six nieces, three nephews, two great nieces, and ten great nephews.
