Betty Bagwell Benson, 80, passed away Tuesday. Graveside services will be held on 1:00 Friday at Maplewood Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Stephenson officiating. She is survived by her daughter; Susie Stephenson and her husband Jerry, son; Michael Benson and his wife Brenda, son-in-law; George Lee all of Clayton, 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mrs. Benson was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Benson, daughter; Cathie Lee, son; Mickey Benson and a grandson; Jeffrey Stephenson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of North Carolina, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27609.
