Bud “ Buddy” Dana Dean, 61, resident of Selma, North Carolina passed away on February 16, 2022 at SECU Hospice house in Smithfield, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy Curtis Dean and Rebecca Hughes Dean. Buddy graduated from the School of Hard Knocks with PhD in Shade Tree Mechanics and Fleet Tire Services. His post graduate studies were in kisses and hugs for the grandchildren.
Buddy was survived by Pamela “Boo Boo’ Dean, his wife of 42 years and their two sons. William Tony Dean (who he called Willie), his wife Alicia (who he called Teeny) and Christopher Scott Dean (who he called Christmas), his fiancé Ashley (who shared his love of cookies). The daughter he never had, Nikki Anson. Grandchildren Tyler, Kaila, Bibey, Jacob, Dylan, Jordan, Leah, and Devon and nine Great Grandchildren.
Survived also by Brother-in-Law, Greg Smith, his wife Faye. Three brothers, Troy Curtis Dean, Jr., his wife Jackie, Mitchel Curtis Dean, his wife Carole and Dale Allen Dean, his wife Tammi. One sister, Wanda Kaye Dean. Many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A visitation for Bud will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Everett Chapel FWB Church, 307 Everett Ave., Clayton, NC 27520, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
