Charles “Chuck” Callahan passed on August 3rd, 2025. Chuck will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and son-in-law. Chuck grew up in Hicksville, NY and resided with his family in Holbrook, NY. He had a long-time career at JP Morgan. Anyone who knew Chuck knew he had a great sense of humor, was kind, was generous, and was a gifted athlete. He went to high school at Holy Trinity and graduated college at SUNY Potsdam, where he continued his illustrious hockey career. His talents catapulted him to the zenith of his sports career where he was awarded a tryout with the New York Islanders. Although Chuck’s sudden passing was devastating to his family and closest friends, we take comfort in knowing he is in a better place. He will live in our hearts forever.
A gathering of family and friends for Charles will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, NC.
