

Deborah “Debbie” Sue Folk, 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Earl Wilbur Imel and Marjorie Hedger McCallister, Debbie was born June 9, 1952. She loved working as a nurse for Dr. Kerry Whitt at RMG Gastroenterology. She was loving and helpful to everyone she met, so nursing came naturally to her. Her favorite thing to do, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Sonny Folk; children, Beth Phillips, David O’Bryant, Dan O’Bryant and wife, Shelly, Rachel Faucett, John Folk and wife, Ingrid, Barbara Folk, and Nathan Folk; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; stepmother, Elizabeth Imel; siblings, Nancy O’Bryant, Steve Imel, Ted McCallister, Stephanie Dunn, Roxsanne Ashby, John Imel, Rebecca Beard, and Michelle Perkins. In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Folk and two brothers, Raymond Imel and William McCallister. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00am, at Way of Life Baptist Church, 2100 Harmony Court, Clayton, NC 27520. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8pm at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business HWY W., Clayton, NC 27520.
