Debra Ann Moore

Debra Ann Moore, born September 2, 1949 in Abingdon, VA, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2016 at Barbour Court of Smithfield, NC. Residing in Raleigh most of her life, she was a graduate of Broughton High School and Mitchell’s Hairstyling. A long time employee of K-Mart and Kroger, she enjoyed working with and being around people. Debby was a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh and played a vital role in the audio-visual program a number of years. Debby loved animals and was the proud owner of Tina Marie, a poodle. Tina and Debby were inseparable buddies for 18 years. An award winning amateur photographer, Debby enjoyed capturing life in natural settings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Evelyn Moore of Raleigh. Debby is survived by her brother, Don Moore (June) of Raleigh, a sister, Pat Holliday (Roy) of Selma, a nephew, Michael Moore of Raleigh, niece, Kristin Speight (Gray) of Raleigh, nephew, David Holliday (Jen) and great niece, Hannah of Buffalo, NY, uncle, Tommy Repass and Aunt Bebe of Meadowview, VA, as well as cousins, Linda Pupa (Walt) of Raleigh, Diann Howard of Selma, Tony Wilson (Barbara) of Hickory, Laura Wickline (Byron) and Kayleigh of Selma, Will Howard (Gabby) and Aidan of Topeka, KS.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many people at Barbour Court of Smithfield for their loving care of Debby. We were all blessed by her time on earth.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 1:00 followed by the funeral service at 2:00. Burial will take place afterwards at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Hwy. 70, Clayton, NC. Arrangements by McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton.
