

Dwayne Alton Bryant “D-Train” age 62 ,of Clayton, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 25, 2025. Born in Franklin County on July 6, 1963, he was a son to the late Alton Bryant and to Brenda Cash.
Dwayne was a graduate of Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. He worked as a professional truck driver for over 30 years. Throughout his career he was dedicated to safety, reliability and hard work on the road. Dwayne took pride in delivering goods on time, maintaining strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and upholding a consistent work ethic. His years of driving gave him the opportunity to see much of the East Coast while providing for his family through honest, steady work.
Dwayne was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. He was a kind, hardworking, friendly, dependable, respectful, loving, caring, honest, and compassionate man with a gentle spirit. Dwyane made many friends who became more like family to him over the years.
Dwayne was an amazing father to his son, Brandon Bryant, who was the greatest joy of his life and what he took the most pride in. Some of Brandon’s favorite memories with Dwayne are going to the racetrack with all of his buddies, going fishing at the beach, learning how to ride his bike without training wheels, getting his first dirt bike and riding with his dad, riding his dad’s motorcycle, and getting their first boat and going out on the water together at Atlantic Beach. Brandon will always remember his very last beach trip just one month ago for Dwayne and his granddaughter Natalie’s birthdays.
Dwayne always took care of his son and never turned his back on him no matter what. He was the best dad anyone could ever dream of having.
His presence will forever be missed by his son, and family and friends that loved him dearly.
Dwyane is preceded in death by his father, Alton Bryant, and his grandparents, Lizzie May Cash and Jimmy A. Cash.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Bryant (Stefanie); granddaughter, Natalie Bryant; mother, Brenda Cash, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins.
A graveside service for Dwayne will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Clayton, NC.
