Gary Michael Froidl

CLAYTON, NORTH CAROLINA – Gary Michael Froidl, age 75, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his residence in Clayton, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton North Carolina with Hospice Chaplain Phillip Hare officiating the service. Military graveside rites will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the Eastern Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the funeral home prior to the service.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 13, 1946 to the late Walter John Froidl and the late Rita Finkelstein Froidl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Steven Froidl.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Great Neck School District as a custodian; he previously worked for Newsday as a manager for 15 years. He enjoyed New York Yankees baseball, golfing, and travel.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Morse Dempsey; children, Kerri Froidl & partner Brian Nadeau (Florida), his other daughter (Washington); stepdaughter Dawn Juehrs & fiance Brian Lines; step grandchildren, Samantha Gotteli & husband Alex Gotelli, Montana Juehrs & husband Freddy Garcia, MacKenzie Juehrs & Emma Juehrs; sisters, Kathy Froidl & Darlene Walters (Florida); nephew & godson Micheal Walters & wife Kimberly Walters (South Carolina), nibbling, Emerson Walters (NYC); great nephew, Aiden Walters (South Carolina); and three step-great grandchildren, Liliana Gotelli, Scarlett & Grayson Garcia.
