Chad, Condolences to your family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Keep your Heart of Gold shining bright.

Jack was our very best friend.  He fulfilled all and any definition of "friend."  A friend is closer than a brother.  There are so many memories of him and with him.  Always heartwarming memories.  What a privilege to be able to be with him all the way.   Everyone knows that Jack did everything he could for anyone who asked or needed it.   Looking forward to that glorious day when we can see him again.   May God be with all of you, his family.
  

I will never forget how kind Jack was to us when our family first moved in to the area.  Specifically, I remember him driving all the way out to us in Chapel Hill to help me with some electrical work.  He was always so generous and giving.  I know that Chris was very fond of him as well.  I know you miss him dearly.  Praying that God continue to hold you in his arms and comfort you.


We pray for God's comfort and peace for Marie and the family. My wife and I were so glad we were able to visit Jack just a few days before his passing. He was our brother in Christ and we loved him dearly. Jack was at our baptism years ago and he and Marie welcomed us into the Church of God. I will miss talking to Jack on the phone many, many times about Biblical questions and other things we enjoyed discussing.  He was my dear friend, and I will miss him until I see him again in the Millennium and God's Kingdom.

One of the few great men I had the pleasure to know.  We all could strive to be more like he was and will he remembered.  Condolences to the family. 

My first brother in Christ, Jack (and my close friend, Marie) took me under his wing the first day I attended services in Raleigh, and he attended mine and my husband, Bobby's baptisms. I will never forget Jack's many kindnesses, wonderful sense of humor, and sage advice. We love you, Jack!

We were sadden to hear of Jack's passing and  the sadness and sense of your loss. We are sorry that we will not be able to attend tonight or the memorial service tomorrow. We have many wonderful memories and will cherish them always. Thoughts and prayers to you and the family.

Unlike the others who have written, I only knew Jack for a short time while we lived in Raleigh a few years ago, but in that time quickly grew to like and admire him.  Kind and compassionate, willing to serve and help, even willing to offer small critiques but in a most gentlemanly way--those are my memories of Jack.  His death will certainly leave a hole in the lives of his family and friends, but that hole will be filled when we see him again.  Eyes on the future!

Jack and my Daddy used to cut wood together when I was a teen. He always seemed to be very caring and compassionate towards everyone and never failed to lend a helping hand. Jack will definitely be missed. After my Daddy passed in September he remained in touch with me and my Mama. Rest in peace, Jack. Prayers for your family. 

Jack was one of the kindest people we ever had the privilege to know, always willing to listen. His sweet smile comes to mind when we hear his name.  He and his family have been a blessing to us over the many years we have know him. R.I. P. Jack.

I first met Jack in 1980. We discussed briefly, a church issue that had been on my mind for a few years. Jack was always very calm and steady about controversial issues and his demeanor helped me through some troubling times in our church. I do not know of anyone that did not like Jack. He was friendly to all. 


Jack Williford is a man I will never forget.  And I will be forever thankful for his coming up to this "shy young man" to say hello,  because that hello helped change my life.  That was over 42 years ago.  Over the years Jack and I have had many conversations about the day we met and the circumstances of our meeting.   To him it was just another day reaching out with the "right hand of fellowship" to a new person at church, but to me it was one of the most important days of my life.   Thanks again Jack for all you did for me.  Friends like you are a blessing.

You will be missed by so many,  including this now "shy old man".
