Jim Eldridge “Jimmy” Moore, Jr. son of the late Jim and Edna Carpenter Moore, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the age of 88. Jimmy was a retired police officer with the Town of Garner. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife Bettie W. Moore; daughters, Linda Boykin and husband Jimmy, Becky Dean; son Marty Moore and his wife Lori; step daughters, Andrea Whealon and husband David, Lisa Wolgemuth and husband Gregory Jan; step son, Charles Scott; grandchildren, Chris Boykin and wife Sara. Jenny Dennis and husband Levi, Jason Dean and wife Kristy, Jeremy Dean, Ashley Scott and husband Patrick and Chad Moore; step grandchildren, Brittany Whealon and Jenna Walsh; 12 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Josh Dean.
