

On Saturday, June 28, 2014 a beautiful soul departed this world. Johnathon Gregory Taylor, 18, died in a tragic single vehicle wreck. A celebration of his life will be held at Ravenscroft School, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 6:00p.m. followed by visitation and gathering of friends. A memorial service will held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at Saint Raphael Catholic Church. “JT” was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. In his short 18 years, he accomplished incredible feats and dedicated his life to helping others. He is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Gregory and Carrie Taylor of Raleigh, brother Joshua Jennings and sister-in-law Alice Stamatakis of Chapel Hill, grandmother, Paula J. Knish of Willow Spring, aunt and godmother, Christine Leone and uncle Dr. Bruce Leone, cousins, Dr. Alex Leone and fiancé, Dr. Maren Locke, Jason Leone, Ben Leone, all of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, uncles Conrad and Bryan Taylor of Raleigh, uncle and aunt, Donald and Pat Turich of Monon, IN and his many dear friends of Ravenscroft School, including David Silver, a great friend, who was to be his roommate in the Fall at the University of South Carolina, Jamie, Thomas, Patrick, Chase, Humza, JT, George, Robert, swim team and Cross Country teammates, and far too many others to list. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert G. Turich, grandmother, Lorraine B. Taylor, and his great aunt, Irene Knish. Hold tight to your memories, your love for each other, and as you advance through life never forget his amazing smile, his love for life, and most of all his spirit. Finally to the CrossFit Sua Sponte family, JT loved you. You motivated and inspired him in a life of dedication, devotion and commitment. He lived to be there every day. To all who loved our son, thank you for embracing him, for loving him, and for making his 18 years of life the most incredible journey. Heaven got the purest soul.
