Linda Smith Wall

Linda Smith Wall, 69, of Garner, NC passed away on May 24, 2017 in Smithfield, NC. Linda Smith Wall was born in Turkey, NC (Sampson County) to Norva Gray Porter and David Aldon Smith on November 25, 1947. She graduated from Garner High School and Hardbarger Business College. She worked as a clerk typist for the State of North Carolina for most of her career. She was involved in teaching adults to read, crafts, sewing, gardening and boating. Linda is preceded in death by her mother and father. Linda is survived by her son, Joseph David Wall, wife Emily and children, Luke and Kennedy; and daughter, Jill Wall Dewitt, Husband Gene and sons, Dennis, Ricky and Jacob and great grandchildren Jayden, Jackson and Grant. Brother Marshall Smith, and wife Christine; Brother David Smith, and wife Trudy; Sister Deborah Westbrook; Sister Diane Boyd, and husband Jerry; and nine nieces and nephews. The family of Linda S. Visitation will be May 26, 2017 from 1:30-2:30pm at McLaurin Funeral Home 12830 US-70 Business Highway West, Clayton, NC 27520. Funeral services will be held May 26, 2017 at 2:30pm at McLaurin Funeral Home and Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Preacher Bob Johnson of Midway Baptist Church will be officiating a graveside service.
