Lousie was welcomed home into the arms of her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents William (Billy) and Vivian East; sister Ruth Hundley; brother Curtis East; and her son-in-law Christopher Ames.
To cherish her memory Louise is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Bailey; her daughters Teresa (Mark) Harvey and Shelia Ames; her 6 grandchildren Constance (Keith) Turlington, Kayla (Phillip) Cooper, Mark (Meredith) Harvey, Amanda (Lee) Frostad, Brandon Ames, and Jordan (Bee) Ames; 8 great grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
Louise met the love of her life Paul in 1961 at a church revival. Louise would fondly share the story of telling her best friend that on the night she met Paul, “I’m going to marry that boy.” And she did. When Louise put her mind to something there were not many things that would stop her; often telling all of us, “you just hid and watch.” Louise passionately served as the President of the Ladies Church group at Liberty Baptist for many years. She loved crafts and cooking and welcomed a house full of family and friends. She always had a kind word for everyone and could be trusted with your deepest secrets.
Louise loved her family, and she loved the Lord; she led the life of a Godly wife, mother, and friend. She taught all of us many things but one of the most important lessons was to be good and kind to one another and love each other.
