Lynnsey Hisako Tharp

Lynnsey Hisako Tharp, age 44, residing in Clayton, North Carolina passed away on Easter Sunday April 9, 2023. Lynnsey was born on June 19, 1978, in Honolulu, Hawaii where she grew up. She obtained her BS in Nursing from the University of Hawaii. She worked primarily in medical-surgical nursing at HMC West (HI), Straub (HI), and Fort Hamilton (OH). She also was an operating room nurse at the University of Cincinnati (OH).

In 2009 she married Jason Tharp. They had 2 beautiful daughters that she loved and adored with all her heart. Lynnsey was proceeded in death by her mother Jane Kuniyuki, father Wallace “Wally” Kuniyuki, brother Aaron Kuniyuki, and sister Jennifer Dausman. Lynnsey is survived by her loving family, husband Jason, daughter Jade Tharp, daughter Keira Tharp. Also, her sister Tammy Tanouye, best friend Jennifer Johnson and so many extended family members who all mourn this loss.

Lynnsey was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed several hobbies. Some of them included working on her many planners and journals, paper crafting, tending to her garden, and most recently she’s taken up crocheting and knitting. She has made dozens of creations with her crocheting skills from hats and scarves, to dolls and accessories. These mementos will help the family carry on her memory.
