Margaret Harrison Johnson, 91, an active member of the DAR and a recipient of numerous awards for service including the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday in the Chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton. Burial will follow at Baptist Center Church Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Michael J. Johnson and Roland H. Johnson; a daughter, Melody J. Thorpe; a sister, Evelyn Vinson; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland M. Johnson and a son, Brenton M. Johnson. The family will receive friends before the service from 10-11 am at McLaurin Funeral Home and after the service at the residence, 3698 Barber Mill Rd., Clayton.
