She is survived by her son, Kenneth Barefoot and his wife, Karen; a daughter, Carla Jones and her husband, Michael; brother, Felton Jernigan; grandchildren, Jessica Adams and husband, Andrew, David Ingram and wife, Amy, Dylan Barefoot and wife, Meredith, Tucker Jones, Kristen McLamb and husband, Dylan; great grandchildren, Payton, Piper, Brian, Lucas, Draven, Maci, Aiden, Lane, Shyann, Emily and Landon.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Cartie Barefoot, brothers, Joseph Jernigan, Walter Jernigan, and Clifford Jernigan; one sister, Mary Horton.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:00am in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9:00am until 10:00am at the funeral home. The committal service will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
