Odessa Duncan Barbour

Odessa Duncan Barbour, 92 passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 surrounded by her family. Odessa was born in Johnston County on November 19, 1928 to the late Wilbert H. and Myrtle Benson Duncan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 11:00am in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the interment following at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00am.

She is survived by her children, Marie Jethro and husband, Mike, Roy R. Barbour and wife, Lois, Roger D. Barbour, Sr. and wife, Peggie, Bonnie B. Higgins and Cregg J. Barbour and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Jeannie Noble and husband, Steve, Warren Robertson and wife, Ramona, Roy Barbour Jr. and wife, Donna, Jimmy Barbour and wife, Carey, Mark Barbour and wife, Bronna, Renee Watson, Paul Jarman and wife, Christie, Juanita Creech, Dawn Smith and husband, Jerry, Roger Barbour Jr. and wife, Alicia, Lucinda Sauls and husband, Carl, Valerie Rogers and husband, Nic, James Barbour and wife, Rebecca; 25 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Randy Duncan and Billy Duncan.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Paul Barbour; daughter, Brenda B. Flowers; brothers, Lynell Duncan, Battle Duncan and Duke Duncan; sister, Lavar Unger.
