She was born June 15, 1942 in South River, New Jersey to the late Stanley Brustowicz and the late Suzanne Varga Brustowicz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Silagyi Jr. and her brothers, Richard, Bernard, Adam, and John Brustowicz, and sister, Lorraine Feis.

Mom, enjoyed taking road trips, watching General Hospital, tending to her garden, and spending time shopping at Walmart or browsing QVC. Even food shopping was something she looked forward to—it brought her joy in its own simple way. Above all, family meant everything to her. She cherished every moment spent making memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She survived by her six children, Donna Sperduti of New Jersey; Linda Lehmann of North Carolina; Edwin Lemerich III of North Carolina; Tracey Hrymoc of New Jersey; Peter Silagyi III of North Carolina; and Thomas Silagyi of North Carolina. 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren and brother, Eugene Brustowicz of Tennessee; and sister, Karen Giardelli of New Jersey.
