She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on April 28, 1950 to the late Donald Martin and the late Sherry Burkhart Martin.
Shelley was a retired real estate agent and a current Avon representative. She enjoyed gardening and having her husband, Bob dig holes in the back yard to plant her plants. She spent her weekends with her daughter crafting, shopping and watching movies. She enjoyed going to the beach especially when her sister Vikki was in town. She also liked playing games with her grandsons, Keb and Nate who were forever introducing her to new video apps to play. She participated in many activities including volunteering at Aiken Regional Medical Center and Meals on Wheels. She took classes in yoga and tai chi. Lately, you could often find her at the swimming pool exercising.
She was an artist who continually was learning new art skills. She was an avid knitter and crocheter (which she taught to her daughter at a young age), along with ceramics, jewelry making, paper art, sand art, and clay work as well as other mediums. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Queen; her daughter Jessica (Joe) Bousquet ; grandsons, Keb and Nate Bousquet; sister, Vikki (Tim) Jacobs.
