Theresa Ann Rogers, 79, of Clayton, NC, suddenly went to be with her Lord and Savior at her home on March 27th, 2026. Born in Beckley, West Virginia on November 2, 1946, she was a daughter to the late Arthur and Opal Holdren.
In addition to her parents, Theresa is preceded in death by numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Jim, of 40-plus years; her son, Douglas McKinney; sister-in-law, Vicky Rogers; and her loving cat, Bella. She will be deeply missed by friends and family members.
Theresa was a retired switchboard operator at WBAL in Baltimore as well as other locations. Throughout her life she enjoyed her flower gardens, nature (especially wildlife areas), real photographs, a good thriller book at bedtime, poetry, volunteering, shopping & dining, cats of course, and her adventures with Jim.
She had a passion for volunteering and visiting residents at nursing homes. She has volunteered at many facilities over the years since the early 1990s. Lastly, she was excited about her renewed faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. One of her recent favorite passages was Matthew 5:1-12.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA of Wake County in North Carolina, a non-profit animal welfare agency dedicated to the humane treatment of pets and animals.
